30 Rock‘s harshest NBC satire may be its own return to Must See TV

With network television increasingly drawing inspiration from whatever you’ve been binge-watching on your elliptical, NBC may be looking at yet another sitcom relaunch. According to THR, “there’s definitely been talk and conversations” about reviving 30 Rock—or at least that’s what series co-star Jane Krakowski told the trade. She added, “I know it’s something the fans would love and we would love.”

Of course, while Krakowski herself has scarcely left her Jenna role, transferring most of its rich, blonde hollowness to 30 Rock heads Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, it would seem most of the cast has moved on. Alec Baldwin, admittedly, has remained in the title building, now living in a nest of wig hair and spray tan on SNL‘s floor; but Tracy Morgan is starring in another series, and Tina Fey seems to now only cameo in the TV shows she produces. Shame the #MeToo movement has probably killed NBC’s next best revival option: Bitch Hunter Returns.
