The Michael Keaton-era Batman of Matt Murdock has arrived with the trailer for Daredevil season three, featuring a gross gangster trying to become a reformed public figure as he attacks our hero vigilante. Borrowing from Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s seminal Born Again story arc, the new episodes see Kingpin back on the attack, figuring out Daredevil’s secret identity and going after him personally. Beyond all the aggressive Catholic imagery, that means destroying Daredevil’s credibility with another man in his suit—who it’s said will be the iconic villain Bullseye. We’ll see whether that’s the case when the blind acrobat demon begins his latest extended hallway brawl October 19.
