Written by, directed by, and starring Casey Affleck, Light of My Life is drawing obvious comparisons to Y: The Last Man, The Road, Leave No Trace, Children of Men, and to the situation where Affleck has been several times accused of sexual misconduct. He stars as a dad raising a daughter in a world where women have died off, and can no longer claim that a famous guy drunkenly climbed into their bed while they were asleep. Cool!
Light of My Life will slink into slumbering theaters August 9.
