Chris Hemsworth to contract Hulkamania for Hogan biopic

Chris Hemsworth has found his latest reason to be incredibly ripped beneath a ridiculous flaxen wig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thor has signed on to play Hulk Hogan in a biopic about the iconic wrestler famed for having blonde, Chinese hair and the skin of a hot dog. Director Todd Phillips and writer Scott Silver are making the film as their The Joker follow-up, a spiritual successor of an ’80s period piece about a stringy-headed man’s devolution into a violent mania.

The film joins another trio of movies already being made about the Hulkster—though those are specifically about Hogan’s legal battle against Gawker for putting out video exposing the rest of his grotesque wiener skin. This picture isn’t expected to touch on that, instead focusing on the WWF star’s earlier glory days. As with our own lives, we can only pray that means going out on Suburban Commando.
