Like the Pizza Hut of superhero movies, Marvel continues to find more and more ways to cram meaty content into the once-wasted crust of their credits. But with their latest effort, they may have finally crossed the line of individually bread-wrapped hot dogs from “fun final bite” to “another meal altogether.” Because Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 has five (5) credits scenes.
The news comes from Guardians writer-director James Gunn himself. On Twitter, he corrected a story stating there were but a workaday four sequences, saying:

With the news just arriving that Gunn will return for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, it should be interesting to see how he’ll top this. Maybe just the credits running over Groot doing a full five-minute comedy set?
