Looking like Tye Sheridan after consuming Joel Edgerton’s soul is continuing to work out for Barry Keoghan. The Dunkirk and Killing of a Sacred Deer actor has just won the lead in Y: The Last Man, FX’s adaptation of the acclaimed comic book series of the same name. Keoghan will play Yorick, who along with his Capuchin monkey make up the last surviving male mammals on a post-apocalyptic Earth.
Additionally, Diane Lane has been cast as Jennifer Brown, a senator and Yorick’s mother; Imogen Poots will play Hero Brown, an EMT and Yorick’s sister; Lashana Lynch is taking on the role of Secret Service’s Agent 355; and Juliana Canfield will play Brooklyn knife-maker and romantic interest Beth. The monkey will probably just be the one from Friends.
