Disney’s long-held plan to cash in on (some may say) misplaced nostalgia for Hocus Pocus has taken a new form. According to Collider, Workaholics writer-producer Jen D’Angelo has been tasked with writing Hocus Pocus 2, a follow-up that would bring back the original 1993 cast. Of course, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy aren’t actually signed on to reprise their roles, but apparently Disney is hoping that they will—at least “in some capacity.”
