It was Mother’s Day over the weekend, and it seems we again gave Mom what we always do: crushing evidence of what sad dorks we’ve become. At the box office, Avengers: Infinity War once again dominated, taking an estimated $62 million and bringing its domestic gross to about $550 million. New releases Life of the Party and Breaking In took the next two spots, earning $18.5 million and $16.5 million, respectively. Overboard fell to fourth with $10.1 million, and A Quiet Place, in its sixth weekend out, still managed to hang on to the top five with a $6.4 million haul.
But you can count on Infinity War‘s reign to end with this week’s new releases. We’ve got this movie with Will Arnett and some talking dogs, a movie based wholly on a belated reference to Fifty Shades of Grey, and there’s also this movie about Ryan Reynolds having a gross face. One of them should probably take care of it.
