It’s last call for Jessica Jones with the season three trailer

Not to be outshone by Maria Hill’s new foray into the same, the original recipe comics-to-television broken female investigator, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), is back for one last case. And as the trailer for her canceled program’s third and final season reveals, one guy seems to be as sick of her leather jackets, brown booze, and punching things bullshit as Netflix ever was.

After a seriously disappointing second go, Jessica Jones season three seems to be correcting course right back to what made the first such a high-water mark for Marvel televised products, having the titular antiheroine menaced by an unhinged, vengeful stalker wreaking deeply personal, psychological havoc on her. David Tennant’s season one Purple Man has been traded out for Under the Silver Lake‘s Jeremy Bobb as Gregory Salinger (Foolkiller in the funny books—a deep-bench, Brian Michael Bendis-style choice if there ever was one), a dangerous criminal genius (obviously) insinuating himself into the lives of Jones and her returning pals Trish (Rachael Taylor) and Jeri (Carrie-Anne Moss).

Will Jones be able to whiskey-‘n’-fisticuffs her way out of this latest mess? Is her strings-heavy theme music as diegetic as the quick shot of an orchestra implies? Can this violent smushing-a-guy-into-a-wall-with-a-car scene top those in Super and P2?

Find out when all 13 episodes of the final season of Jessica Jones hit Netflix on June 14.
