Another slick assassin action-thriller is on the way—and this one isn’t even a John Wick knock-off. It’s apparently more of a Kill Bill knock-off.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Karen Gillan has signed on to star in Gunpowder Milkshake, what’s said to be a “snappy,” “stylish,” and quite violent play on the assassin genre. The story is said to span generations, with all female leads, but details aren’t yet public. Israeli writer-directors Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are heading up the project, which is drawing stylistic comparisons to Baby Driver and Kill Bill; aptly, Quentin Tarantino called the duo’s Big Bad Wolves the best film of 2013.
Nebula Gets a Gun is set to shoot in Berlin (seems familiar…) this spring.
