Kill me now, because Adam Sandler is doing another Murder Mystery

With Rian Johnson’s Knives Out hitting theaters next month, Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile coming in a year, and Jason Bateman’s Clue just announced, it seems the high-class murder mystery is indeed a popular genre again. Tragically, there’s one more piece of evidence supporting that: Netflix’s Murder Mystery is apparently getting a sequel.

According to THR, the streaming service is in early development on a follow-up to star Adam Sandler’s Agatha Christ-it’s-shitty take. Sandler and his two-time unfathomable on-screen wife, Jennifer Aniston, are said to be in talks to return. Original screenwriter James Vanderbilt (White House Down, Amazing Spider-Man, Independence Day: Resurgence) is likewise in negotiations to come back and scrape another layer of veneer off his Zodiac acclaim.

Yet somehow The Do-Over: Do It Over Again remains just out of reach.
