Seeing the first trailer for Hotel Artemis, you at least have to give it one thing: what a fascinatingly eclectic cast. Starring Jodie Foster, Sterling K. Brown, Sofia Boutella, Dave Bautista, Charlie Day, Brian Tyree Henry, Zachary Quinto, Jenny Slate, Kenneth Choi, and Jeff Goldblum, the film seems to be sort of a Free Fire-esque riff on the John Wick universe. Foster runs a hotel-cum-hospital for assassins, where strict peace is imposed but of course fall apart as this diverse list of hit-people find themselves facing off against Goldblum’s thugs in this inn-firmary. Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce wrote and directed this excuse for us to hear Jeff Goldblum address people as “baby.” It hits theaters July 20.
