Nicolas Cage and Kelsey Grammer are doing the thriller we didn’t know we needed

Nicolas Cage and Kelsey Grammer are teaming up to make your new favorite movie. It’s called Grand Isle, it’s being directed by Stephen S. Campanelli, and from the sound of it, it does not belong anywhere near a theater. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Grand Isle will see Cage play a trigger-happy ex-Marine living on a quiet island in Louisiana with his seductive wife (Strickland). Forced to hire a cash-strapped handyman (Benward) to fix a fence destroyed while he was gunning down a home intruder, he finds his life taking a strange turn, and after a night filled with “greed, sex, violence and unspeakable discoveries,” a detective (Grammer) is brought in to lead a police investigation.

The script comes from Iver William Jallah and Rich Ronat, who sure as shit better have made it so Cage and Grammer end up being the same guy.
