While Slaughterhouse Rulez is a follow-up pairing of Simon Pegg and his Fantastic Fear of Everything writer-director Crispian Mills, it seems far more a spiritual successor to another comedy from frequent Edgar Wright collaborators. Featuring the likes of Michael Sheen, and Asa Butterfield, the film is basically Attack the Block for the teenage other half. Now, instead of some poor London kids fighting off aliens, it’s some UK prep school kids fighting off demons—Nick Frost providing the oversized man-child overlap between the two.
Slaughterhouse Rulez hits UK theaters October 31, but there’s not yet a US release date. Americans will just have to continue imagining the rich dying by hellish means.
