Time to find meaning in the life of this Ikiru remake

While there have been more than a few remakes of Akira Kurosawa classics, we may yet to see the most egregiously unnecessary yet. Deadline is reporting that producer Stephen Woolley is in development on a re-imagining of Ikiru, Kurosawa’s 1952 drama about a terminally ill bureaucrat coming to terms with his impending death and occasionally hitting the swing-set. It’s said Woolley plans to keep the film’s time period but shift its setting to London. It will be called Christopher Robin 2.
