The long-promised sequel to Top Gun hasn’t even started shooting yet, but don’t worry: you need not wait to see Tom Cruise’s smug grin beaming from beneath a pair of aviators. Check it out right here with the trailer for American Made, the latest collaboration between Cruise and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman. In an increasingly-rare case, the film see Cruise as someone other than himself perched atop his most bad-ass scampering platforms. Here he puts on a Southern accent to play Barry Seal, the real-life pilot and double-crossing smuggler who covertly flew for both the CIA and the Medellín drug cartel. Sarah Wright, looking confusingly like Alice Eve, co-stars as Seal’s wife, Lucy. Domhnall Gleeson, Caleb Landry Jones, Jesse Plemons, and Jayma Mays fill out the unusually ginger-heavy cast. American Made hits theaters September 29.
