Vin Diesel bought the rights to xXx, so that he may continue making those

In what was assumedly a very extreme bidding war with Ice Cube, Vin Diesel and his One Race Films have teamed with production company The H Collective to buy up the rights to the xXx franchise. Diesel’s plan: to let the series continue, unobstructed, like Xander Cage’s dirt bike that can’t be stopped by the ocean, because it has little water skis that pop out around the wheels. Thusly, the cavernous-voiced star is reportedly base-jumping straight into a fourth film, with director D.J. Caruso, who helmed last year’s successful-in-China xXx: Return of Xander Cage, quickly attached to direct. Production is already scheduled for December, from a script written, as always, by a 1990s Mountain Dew ad.
