From the remarkably reliable distributor behind last year’s Moonlight, Green Room, Swiss Army Man, The Witch, and The Lobster, here’s some sort of teaser for something. Given that A24 puts out films, we can insinuate it’s some kind of movie, but beyond that, there’s no hint. The video is untitled and it contains just brief, futuristic imagery and cryptic slogans. Some people have suggested it could be teasing Upstream Color director Shane Carruth’s next project, The Modern Ocean, but that film’s surprisingly big-name cast is nowhere to be seen here. This is some J.J. Abrams-level mysteriously, frustratingly coy promotion.
