Following last month’s news that John Boyega would be joining the wheelman trade in The Formula, now comes word that Birds of Prey and Lovecraft Country star Jurnee Smollett is likewise getting in the getaway driver’s seat for Fuel.
Just picked by Amazon after competitive bidding, the film will reportedly see Smollett “coerced into working for a criminal and breaking all the rules she set out for herself.” Back to driving crime bosses around, eh, Black Canary?
