Blending A Star Is Born and Life with Mikey into a pap thin enough to stream, Adam Sandler’s latest Netflix vehicle sees him playing a low-rent L.A. talent manager who falls for his latest client—a songstress played by Jennifer Hudson. Titled Sandy Wexler, the comedy will hit the service April 14. Here’s the first teaser and a portent of the many, many “ha ha, it’s 1994!” not-quite-jokes to come.
