When Steve Rogers gave Sam Wilson his vibranium shield at the close of Endgame, there’s an even harder-to-obtain element he forgot to include: a lucrative contract with the Walt Disney Corporation.
But it looks like Wilson has sorted it out himself.
According to Deadline, former Falcon Anthony Mackie has closed a deal with Marvel Studios to follow up The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with the titular role in a fourth Captain America movie. While the film isn’t yet officially listed in Marvel’s upcoming release slate—which currently includes Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol: 3, and Fantastic Four—the news does confirm that Sam Wilson is, definitively, the new Captain America. And that, definitively, we will never be rid of this ever-spreading Disney cancer.
