Like an eight-year-old girl suddenly granted omnipotent, godlike powers, Walt Disney Studios has lately been spend much of its resources on bringing Disney cartoons to frighteningly accurate reality. They’ve already conjured Cinderella into fleshy existence, and they’ve announced plans to do the same with numerous other popular properties. The next of these arrives on March 17 with the live-action Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Ewan McGregor as the human candelabra, Ian McKellen as the clock that waddles and speaks, Emma Thompson as a porcelain vessel filled with boiling fluids, Josh Gad as Le Fou, and Luke Evans as a Gaston that isn’t really as burly as you recall. Otherwise, though, as you’ll see in this first full trailer, everything is just as you remember it—right down to the part where the dog-man and his yellow dress prisoner do their fancy dance. That’s definitely the best part, right?
