One of Warner Bros.’ innumerable in-development superhero films has taken a step toward actually happening. According to The Wrap, the studio has set Charm City Kings director Angel Manuel Soto to direct Blue Beetle.
The film will focus on the third iteration of Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, a teen who bonds with an alien scarab that gives him a powerful, extraterrestrial armored suit. Think Peter Parker had he started with the Iron Spider suit by way of someone getting an ankh tattoo.
