The third remake of 1937’s A Star Is Born is born! Once set to be directed by Clint Eastwood, with Beyoncé in the lead, now it’s Bradley Cooper’s directing debut and Lady Gaga’s first leading lady part. Cooper also plays the male lead—the aging, drunk musician who mentors and romances Gaga’s ingénue singer-songwriter in what’s become an increasingly inappropriate relationship. Sam Elliott co-stars alongside a time-traveling comedy club that includes Dave Chappelle and Andrew Dice Clay. A Star Is Born 4 hits theaters October 5.
