Brendan Fraser to play 600-pound man for Darren Aronofsky

If you haven’t seen Furry Vengeance, do yourself a favor, because it’s bonkers bad.

The Brendaissance may finally be upon on.

According to Deadline, Brendan Fraser is set to star in the latest drama from Darren Aronofsky, The Whale. Based on MacArthur-winning playwright Samuel D. Hunter’s play of the same name (he’s also set to adapt), the film is basically My 600-lb Life as a Fraser vehicle. The former George of the Jungle will play Charlie, a six-hundred pound recluse eating himself to death as a Mormon missionary, an atheist nurse, and Charlie’s estranged teenage daughter try to save him from self-destruction. Sounds like a whale of a good time!
