Charlie Kaufman’s follow-up to I’m Thinking of Ending Things? Another streaming adaptation of a book about confused recollection!
Deadline reports that Kaufman’s next scripting effort will be an adaptation of The Memory Police, Yōko Ogawa’s 1994 sci-fi novel about an island where nearly everyone on an island collectively forgets people or things, with the titular enforcers removing those items. Amazon Studios has The Handmaid’s Tale Emmy winner Reed Morano attached to direct. Let’s just hope we don’t forget… to check it out!
