As reported seven months ago, the Coen Brothers are following the scent of auteurs toward premium television. And now we know exactly where that iconic film writer-director scent is taking them: to Netflix. The Coens are officially taking their Western anthology series, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, to the streaming service. O Brother, Where Art Thou?‘s Tim Blake Nelson is set to play the titular star in the series, which will play out across six episodes about the U.S.’s Wild West frontier. Yet is the truest frontier not STREAMING TELEVISION? So we’ll find out when the series premieres next year. But yes, obviously it is.
