Well, it took an unlikely path and 13 years to get there, but Community is indeed getting its #SixSeasonsAndAMovie demand.
Starting on NBC before shifting to Yahoo! for its sixth season, the Dan Harmon-created cult sitcom will—after a surprising bidding war—shift to Peacock to end its run as a film. Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong are all set to reprise their respective roles; Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Chevy Chase, are, unsurprisingly, not looking likely—though Peacock is currently said to be declining an official statement on whether any could return in any capacity.
Harmon will of course also be returning, providing the script alongside series writer Andrew Guest (A Fistful of Paintballs, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons).
While the Community movie is headed to Peacock, it is yet unclear when, nor where it will later end up when Peacock inevitably goes defunct.
