Daniel Clowes’ Patience is finally getting its film adaptation

Four years since comic artist Daniel Clowes first revealed he was adapting his Patience for the screen, Focus Features is finally doing something with it. The studio has reportedly set Charlie McDowell, director of the quite solid indie thriller The One I Love, to re-write and direct the film. The Ghost World author’s sci-fi love story sees a man time traveling to the past in the hopes of saving his murdered, pregnant wife. Given one discovers time travel, it’s just the solid thing to do. Can’t wait to see the story of this totally stand-up dude.
