Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge—the 2005 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of cool prestige comedy television—are our new Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The respective Atlanta and Fleabag stars are reportedly set to head up a series remake of Mr. and Mrs. Smith for Amazon. Promisingly, the pair are also serving as co-creators alongside Fargo writer Francesca Sloane.
Assuming it follows the original premise, Waller-Bridge and Glover will play an upper-middle class couple who again find their spark when they discover they’ve secretly been rival assassins. It’s unclear who will play their pitiable Jennifer Aniston.
