Well, here’s a thing to look forward to in our otherwise increasingly joyless existence: Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder, and Benny Safdie are going to star in Showtime series The Curse.
Created by Fielder and Safdie, the half-hour comedy will reportedly see Stone and Fielder as a newly-married couple trying to conceive a child while starring in a problematic HGTV series. Safdie will play their show’s producer. Fielder will direct and executive produce alongside Stone and Benny and Josh Safdie.
The comedy is described as “genre-bending,” and given that Fielder and the Safdies already have their own distinctly chaotic, weird things going, no doubt that’s the case. Like the COVID vaccine, we will be thrilled when this arrives, even if it ends up making us feel sort of sick.
