Thor: Ragnarok sees the title hero fighting with old friends and befriending once-hated family. But while that also happens to most of us every time we visit home for Thanksgiving, here it looks a hell of a lot of fun. From this new trailer, it seems director Taika Waititi has managed to beautifully marry his flair for humor with the sort of dramatic, slo-mo tableaus that have been the near-sole saving grace of Zack Snyder’s superhero output. Of all the movies about Thor fighting in a coliseum run by Jeff Goldblum, this definitely looks like it will be in the top five. We’ll find out for sure when it hits theaters November 3.
