‘Ex Machina’ writer-director Alex Garland gets back to disquieting sci-fi with the ‘Annihilation’ trailer

After the success of Ex Machina, writer-director is back to disquieting sci-fi, once again with Oscar Isaac in tow, in Annihilation. Based on the bestseller of the same name, the film sees Natalie Portman as part of a four-woman team exploring a mysterious, long-abandoned landscape that’s made prior exploratory teams suffer various unusual, deadly fates.
