David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have found another way to infuriate nerds with deviations from the original books. The Game of Thrones creators have officially made a deal to extend the strained Star Wars universe even further with their own films in the franchise. Benioff and Weiss will be writing and producing the new spin-off series, which it’s said will be separate from the main saga, Rian Johnson’s upcoming trilogy, Solo, the rumored Obi-Wan movie, the planned streaming series, and all the other many, many Star Wars projects on the horizon, glaring at us like the suns of Tatooine—in that there are definitely too many out there.
