George R. R. Martin’s In the Lost Lands will be our latest Paul W. S. Anderson-helmed Milla Jovovich movie

In a merger that gives us entirely too many middle initials, Paul W. S. Anderson has signed on to direct an adaptation of the George R. R. Martin short story In the Lost Lands.

According to Deadline, the project is lined up to become the umpteenth Anderson genre action junk to star wife Milla Jovovich. She’ll play a powerful sorceress hired to discover the secret of shapeshifting. With her guide, Dave Bautista, she’ll venture into the titular Lost Lands, where the two “must outwit and outfight man and demon in a fable that explores the nature of good and evil, debt and fulfillment, love and loss.” Sounds like a lot of layers for what will inevitably end up being another Resident Evil, but now the guns are magic wands.

His follow-up to last year’s Monster Hunter, In the Lost Lands will be Anderson’s first project since 2014’s Pompeii to mold the detritus of Game of Thrones talent into a movie no one will remember.
