Ghosts of Tsushima will be our latest video game movie

The ever-ongoing failed experiment of video game movies is getting yet another entry. Game developer Sucker Punch Productions has announced that they’re working on a film adaptation of their 2020 hit title, Ghost of Tsushima, the story of a samurai protecting the titular island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. Sony, the game’s publisher, is producing.

The game has been praised for its slick, flowing combat, and the movie take already has a likewise praised director attached: Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick series. Gonna be so awesome when this samurai pulls out a gun.
