Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but already Marvel Studios has made an important decision: to make more of those until they stop making a lot of money off those. And it doesn’t matter if writer-director James Gunn comes along or not.
Speaking to Complex, it was Gunn that revealed:
There will be a Guardians 3, that’s for sure. We’re trying to figure it out. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do really, that’s all it is. I got to figure out where I want to be, what I want to spend the next three years of my life doing. You know, I’m going to make another big movie; is it the Guardians or something else? I’m just going to figure it out over the next couple of weeks.
Should Gunn indeed decide to do something else, it’s thought that, fuck it, Guardians 3 is still going to make a shit-ton of money. No one dump all their Disney stock just yet.
