Look, if you’re going to make a movie specifically about a teacher’s statutory rape of one of her students, it might be more effective to not cast what’s clearly a 25-year-old as the teenager. Just an idea!
Unfortunately, too late for FX’s A Teacher, a limited series that sees Kate Mara as a high school teacher who starts a relationship with what appears to be an undercover cop but is apparently a genuine pupil (Nick Robinson). Turns out, you get in trouble for that.
Those interested in seeing Mara date what is easily a college grad but we’ll pretend is 17 for this weird rape fantasy can do so on FX on Hulu starting November 10.
