The latest from the increasingly-reliable A24, It Comes at Night would seem to continue the indie distributor’s success streak. The film sees Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough, Christopher Abbott, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Carmen Ejogo trapped in and around a cabin together as they avoid some kind of plague going on in the greater world. As often goes on with this type of conceit—think zombie movies—the close proximity, competing male egos, and fears of hidden infection lead to rising tensions. Also, there’s apparently something that comes at night. What’s that thing about, anyway? We’ll probably find out when the film hits theaters June 9.
