A new trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is here to confirm that, yes, this is another Marvel solo origin movie where the superhero lead has to essentially fight themselves. A tale as old as 2008.
It looks like this time it will be a big ring fight between Shang-Chi and his pops—but that’s actually not the main event of this latest preview. As the trailer closes, we see that there’s some sort of cage battle going on, where Wong from Doctor Strange is facing off against The Incredible Hulk’s Abomination (who now has his little fish-fin ears from the comics). It’s as if all these Marvel movies may take place within a shared universe. But who knows!
Perhaps we’ll find out when Shang-Chi hits theaters September 3.
