The first footage from Universal’s The Mummy reboot is here, and it makes quite clear that this is not your grandFraser’s Mummy. This new lady-mummy can apparently produce extra pupils and irises! So that’s something, right?
Other than that, the trailer’s only reveal is that this film already appears to have enough Tom Cruise scampering towards camera and dust clouds pluming through European cities to qualify itself as Mummy: Impossible. We’ll see if it continues with Cruise high-stepping it down that path when the full trailer debuts Sunday.
