Netflix prices are going up again, and we’re all just going to shut up and accept it

From giving us reviving old series, to giving us new series, to paying Adam Sandler’s stipend, to delivering the dong art of Maya the Bee, Netflix has managed to run up an estimated $20 billion or so in debt. Naturally, now they’re hoping we’ll pay for it. The company today announced another jump in prices, their standard, two-stream HD plan jumping from $9.99 to $10.99 per month. Premium and family plans will likewise see a rise in coming weeks, going from $11.99 to $13.99 per month. This is the first price increase since October of 2015, and it’s expected that, like then, we’ll half-heartedly complain for a minute but ultimately won’t even notice as it quietly continues to drain our bank accounts just a little bit more.
