At some weird intersection of Okja, First Cow, Mandy, John Wick, and the ongoing season of Top Chef: Portland has arrived this: PIG.
Nicolas Cage stars as a renowned chef who has retired to the wilderness, a hermit whose only companion is a truffle-hunting pig. When someone abducts his pig? Well, you’d better believe there’s hell to pay. Nicolas Cage is clearly going to get that piggy back—one way or another.
While the idea of Cage out for porcine vengeance is an undeniable draw, it’s hard to say what exactly to expect from the first-time feature from writer-director Michael Sarnoski. Sure is a hell of a jumping-off point, though.
