First debuted as a gorgeously-shot, impeccably-designed short back in 2014, Prospect has now made the jump to a feature-length effort, and here’s its first trailer.
Written and directed by Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell, the film is sort of a Paper Moon of Endor by way of a sci-fi survival Deliverance. Sophie Thatcher and Jay Duplass star as a daughter-father duo out to strike it rich harvesting rare gems hidden within a moon’s toxic forest. Their effort is complicated when their search also uncovers a group of violent men—some of them seemingly some real freaks—trying for the same precious Bejeweled artifacts. Pedro Pascal, Andre Royo, Sheila Vand, and Anwan Glover co-star.
Prospect is set to debut at SXSW this weekend.
