Like a mind crippled by Space Madness, The Ren & Stimpy Show is headed into another maddening stage of deterioration. Already revived for Spike’s three-episode, quickly-dropped “extreme” iteration, now Comedy Central is bringing the show back again for a new generation. Creator John Kricfalusi is not involved; this will see an all-new creative team doing a “reimagined” take on the Nicktoons icons. So great job to them for already making this exactly as appealing as the original series’ “gruesome close-ups!”
