Robert Rodriguez and NBC to give us cool, modern LadyZorro

What if Zorro were around today, and also a woman!? Get ready to find the fuck out, because NBC is going to make a whole series about that.

The network is reportedly teaming with Robert Rodriguez and sister Rebecca for a drama that reinvents Zorro for a generation that honestly probably doesn’t even know Zorro exists. Written by the Rodriguez siblings, the show “centers on Sola Dominguez, an underground artist who fights for social justice as contemporary version of the mythical Zorro,” and, ugh, it’s going to be a street artist whose mask is the respirator or bandana she wears to spray-paints “Z”s, isn’t it?

Sofia Vergara is attached to produce but almost certainly won’t star, because you just know it’s going to be this 23-year-old who’s always in this cool streetstyle gear with a black five-panel cap.
