Original Spy Kids spy kid Alexa Vega is in her 30s. Fellow spy kid Daryl Sabara now has his own kid with Meghan Trainor. These are no longer spy kids. They are spy adults. So Robert Rodriguez is going to give us some new covert child labor.
The Spy Kids creator is reportedly teaming with Netflix to reboot the franchise. It’s said Rodriguez will write, direct, and produce a new Spy Kids that will “introduce a new family of spies [and] reimagine the property for a new generation.” And, at long last, another generation will understand what it’s like when kids are also spies. It’s weird, right!?
