New Mutants was originally scheduled to be released just over two years ago. Then it was bumped almost a year to February 22, 2019. Then to August 2, 2019, and then to last month. That obviously didn’t happen, but still 20th Century Studios adamantly refuses to just toss this thing on Disney+ and forget about it. Now they claim it will definitely be in theaters August 28—a mere 28 months since it was first shelved. This is probably a very good movie!
