With Aquaman already successfully folded into the DCEU (well, sorta successfully), Warner Bros. has decided to just go for broke on bringing in their goofiest superheroes. Now they’re adding in Hawkman.
Known for being a shirtless, winged man in a bird helmet, and typically seen bludgeoning foes with a mace, Hawkman will reportedly join the DCEU in the upcoming Black Adam. With Dwayne Johnson attached to play the title role, City on the Hill star Aldis Hodge will be joining him as the avian daddy.
While Hawkman was traditionally portrayed with light skin in the comics, Hodge’s race should be only an issue in that “Hawkman” is clearly a Jewish name.
