After the nearly unwatchable Hellboy reboot, it’s officially time to start this thing over again—but now we’re headed even further back in the Hellboy mythos.
A feature-length documentary on comics icon Mike Mignola and his creation of Hellboy is now in the works. Titled Drawing Monsters: The Secret Origin of Hellboy, it promises “never-before-seen interviews conducted with the legendary creator at his studio, drawing demonstrations, behind the scenes footage from workshops and comic book conventions, and interviews with some of the most influential people in entertainment.”
A Kickstarter launched yesterday for the project is already at over three times its goal, but you can head over there for more specifics or to nab a variety of backer swag—some that’s one-of-a-kind. You can be special!
